How it all started…..

In 2019-20, 50 Stars Marketing Founder John Ring, launched a walk across the United States to raise awareness of Veteran issues. John founded WalkforVets.org in 2021, formerly Buddy Watch Walk. While walking across the country, John taught himself how to market his journey to better reach the Veteran community. Since 2019, John and Walk for Vets participants have walked in 32 states across the United States. On Febuary 24, Walk for Vets completed a #22states22days mission, walking 2.2 miles at the Capitals raising awareness of Veteran Suicide. John does all of his own graphics and promotion while coordinating their walks.

In 2020, while walking through Mineola, Texas, John met a journalist, together they founded Wood County Now, a local digital news agency. John assisted in growing the business and in less than one year, they were the largest news source in Wood County, Texas. John’s main focus was digital promotion and graphic creation.

John also has a political background working on Congressional and Local campaigns. John has also been a political candidate.
